God's been Talking, have I been Listening?

Here's how the past week has kind of panned out:

*Wednesday before (last week): at prayer meeting read Phil 1:9-11 and felt completely that God wanted me to read those verses right now. 1) My love needs to grow. 2) I need to know more about God, who He is 3) I need to know more about His ways, how He works 4)THEN I'll know how to make the right choices, stop freaking out so much about "messing up" because 5) living this way will make me pure and blameless until the day of Christ comes for me (can anyone say, white wedding dress for Morgan? I love it :D) 6) I'll be filled with righteousness - and the prayers of a righteous man are effective (James 5:16).

Wednesday afternoon: read about God's Eternalness and fell in love with Him again. Shed light on the importance of our time, His wisdom, and completing the work He has for me to do. (My last blog post, actually).

Wednesday night: at prayer meeting asked everyone if they could pray that I would begin to recognize and hear God's voice; listen to it.

Thursday morning: My Your Whole Life devotional starts Thursday mornings and lasts for a week with a message. This week's focus: Listening to God. O was like O man, too cool!

Sunday morning: heard about being a light to the world for Jesus. And got super excited when I saw Eph 2:10 "for we are God's workmanship, created in Christ Jesus to do good works, which God prepared in advance for us to do."

Wow! I really think God is trying to say something here:

1. Learn about Me through the Word and by being My Best Friend <3 Depend on Jesus to live the life worthy of your call and He will carry it out in you.

2. We can do this! Keep it up, My Holy Spirit will show you the way you should go. You'll know which action/word/moment is best.

3. This is the way I want you to live. It will make you pure and blameless for my Son and you'll get to wear that white wedding dress for Him. <3

4. Listen for My voice, live in such a way that we can stay in fellowship together and you're prayers will be effective because your life and those you love depend on it. This is so important and there's not much time. I've created something so special for you to do and I don't want you to miss it. Follow Me and then share in My happiness.

O Jesus how I want You! How I want this! Fellowship with God, being a good sister for You, living the life I should. Not some punk existence where I compare myself to other Christians. Help me to see You and run for You full-steam ahead!

Also, I really liked this part of a hymn:

We follow, not with fears,

For gladness breaks like morning

Where’er Thy face appears.

Life is going really good for me right now. And sometimes I'm afraid that will stop. But if life's a journey and I'm on a boat I want my focus to be on my Captain. Whether the forecast says horrific storm or breath-taking sunset He is the most beautiful thing I have ever seen and the world could crumble around me as long as His eyes are locked on mine. O Jesus help it to be true! Even when I feel weak. Be my air.
